About DiscoverRVA365 And My Mission

DiscoverRVA365 Blog

DiscoverRVA365 is first and foremost a personal challenge to break out of the daily routine and patterns that many of us find ourselves stuck in from time to time.

It’s easy to stick with the same activities, same groups of people, same bars and restaurants.  There is contentment in the routine. I enjoy the embrace of comfortable surroundings but I’m also a person who enjoys the unknown. However, I struggle with placing myself in unfamiliar situations on a regular basis.

I have no idea if I’m an ENTP or INTJ or any other jumble of consonants. I know that I tend to be one person while traveling who will talk to almost anyone and try almost anything yet inexplicably….

That’s not me at home, and the thing is…I like the extroverted adventurous me that comes out when I’m abroad. Somehow I need to find that guy and introduce him to the city. However I know myself and left to my own devices without accountability it is unlikely that this will happen. This blog is an attempt change that.

My mission is to try all things Richmond – Especially if I’ve never done it before. In fact all the better if I haven’t! We were voted Outside Magazine‘s #1 river town in 2012.  Forbes Magazine ranked Richmond as the #23 best city for Millennials in the country in 2015. RVA is constantly added to “Best Of” lists and there’s a reason why.

DiscoverRVA365 is my attempt to take it all in and I want your suggestions! Email me at admin@discoverrva365.com or contact DiscoverRVA365 via Facebook and Twitter – I’m open to trying just about anything…Richmond, what’s your favorite RVA must do!?

Frank is a fan of travel, craft beer, motorbikes and Richmond. When not sitting hunched over a keyboard he can also be found rifling the record bins for new vinyl or hunting for a good happy hour. You can also read about his international travels on his OTHER blog: travelswithoutpants.com.
